Two individuals in a workplace setting.
Since 2016, award-winning digital agency Laser Red has been located on E-Factor’s Enterprise Village. From their fully-branded base, the team provide web development, SEO, PPC, social media and email marketing services to local, national, and international clients.
What Laser Red needed With a team of nine employees, Laser Red had outgrown their single room office in Laceby and were looking for a new workspace. It was important for the business to be in the Grimsby area, somewhere that had excellent broadband connections, good parking facilities, and was secure. They also wanted a property that could be moved into quickly, that required minimal work, and had the flexibility to be decorated to suit Laser Red’s branding. How E-Factor helped Natalie Cresswell, Property & Operations Manager at E-Factor, had a unit become available on the Enterprise Village. The large, light space was ideal for Liam’s vision of having an open plan office with areas for working, gaming, socialising, and meetings. Along with Estates and Performance Manager Tony Parkinson, Natalie and Liam worked together to make any amendments to the lease and to overcome any queries, such as internet connectivity. Due to the nature of Laser Red’s business, Liam needed additional broadband and so, E-Factor assisted in having a private line installed to the unit. When Laser Red wanted to move into their new space quickly over the Christmas break, Natalie and Tony supported the team to make it happen. The Result The Laser Red office now boasts an open plan working environment with a gaming area, lunch area (where the team have their Social Friday lunches together), a mezzanine floor (which has recently been transformed into an audio/visual studio), and reception and meeting room. The whole unit has been styled to incorporate the business’ personality. Laser Red continues to grow at a rapid but sustainable pace. They now have a team of 16 and are on track to double their turnover since relocating in 2016. Liam has plans for future developments of the space, potentially adding custom-made ‘quiet pods’ for staff. Liam said: “The move to this unit has allowed us to showcase what we do and what we’re all about. The whole environment looks impressive. Creating it has been a collaboration with the team, our office is a big part of our culture and we’ve made it a place where people want to work. “Natalie, Tony and the team are always very helpful. They’re always here when we need them and will help straight away. They also advise us about things like rate relief and energy costs, so they don’t feel like just a landlord – we know they’re looking after us.” Natalie said: “It is an absolute privilege to be able to play a small part in the growth and development of this thriving business. We were really excited about welcoming Liam and Laser Red to the Enterprise Village. Being able to provide both the structural requirements and the support for the creative vision Liam had, has been a pleasure. It has been fantastic to see the transformation of the space from an industrial unit, in to the modern workspace that it is today. We are always keen to build solid working relationships with our tenants so that as their business requirements change, we can adapt our services to meet those new needs.”
